Botch Table

Upon rolling a natural 1 on an attack roll, roll a straight d20 and compare your result to the following table to determine its effect.

1Broken WeaponA normal weapon acquires the broken condition. If your weapon is magical, roll again. If you roll a 1 on this table a number of times in a row equal to the magic weapon’s enhancement bonus, the weapon acquires the broken condition.
2Knocked UnconsciousYour attack misses and you knocked yourself out. You immediately fall unconscious as if affected by the sleep spell.
3Hurts SelfYour attack misses and you accidentally damaged yourself. You take 1d8 damage plus 1 for each of your hit dice.
4Skewed AttackInstead of hitting your target, you hit the next nearest creature. If there are multiple creatures equidistant from your target, roll randomly to choose the new target. If no other creatures are in range of your weapon, roll on this table again.
5Provokes AttackYour attack misses and you provoke an attack of opportunity.
6Stuns SelfYour attack misses and you are stunned for one round.
7Knocked DownYour attack misses and you fall prone.
8Dropped WeaponYour attack misses and you drop your weapon.
9Jammed WeaponYour attack misses and your weapon is stuck. You may dislodge it as a standard action.
10Disadvantaged AttackYour attack misses. Until the end of your next round, make all of your rolls twice and take the lower result.
11-19Nothing FurtherYour attack misses, but nothing else happens.
20Salvage ItYour attack hits! You deal half your normal damage.
